We believe the Bible is God’s inerrant and infallible
Word. We believe Jesus Christ is the only One through whom
we might be saved
John 14:6, Acts 4:12
We believe “That Christ died for our sins according
to the Scriptures, that He was buried, and that He was
raised on the third day.”
1 Corinthians 15:3-4
We believe “That if you confess with your mouth the
Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him
from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9
Our goal is to preach the Word of God, reach the lost,
and meet the needs around us. We look to see where God is
already at work and join Him there.
Brethren, We Have Met To Worship
The Miner Church Family meets together to Praise and Worship
our Heavenly Father during two Sunday Morning services and
one Sunday Evening service. Each service is centered on the
preaching of God’s Word. In preparation for God’s message
everyone assembled participates in a time of praise through
song. The music selections are a mix of choruses and
traditional hymns. To make participation easy, the words are
projected on a wide screen at the front of the auditorium.
Accompanying the singing is not only piano and organ, but
also keyboard, guitars, horns, percussion, and other
instruments. Miner has an extremely talented choir as well
as many soloist and ensembles that present selections from
Southern Gospel to Contemporary.
Become Involved
There is always something to do at Miner Baptist. Miner has
an active Youth Group involved in many different activities
including Bible studies, conferences, lock-ins, mission
trips to the inner cities, and lots of fun. Ignite is a
contemporary Bible Study for youth held every Wednesday
evening. The youth always have something going on to look
forward to and to keep them involved.
Children Loving God
Our children are very important to us. AWANA headlines our
efforts to teach our children scripture. Our children may
also participate in puppets, musical presentations, hand
bells, as well as other activities. Kingdom Kids and Praise
Palace is held every Sunday morning during our second
service.
Strengthening Relationships
Singles are involved in Bible Study and fellowship. Married
couples meet in Homebuilders groups to strengthen their
marriages. Monday Night Mom’s is a fellowship for Mom’s
meeting monthly. Senior Adults meet monthly as “Young At
Heart” to fellowship and travel.
Women’s Ministry
Each Fall our Women’s organization presents Wonderful
Weekend for Women. This two day conference draws ladies from
several states in the Midwest to fellowship and worship
together. Nationally known speakers and musical groups are
brought in to bless those in attendance. This is only a part
of the active Women’s Ministry at Miner.
God Has Blessed Us All With Many Gifts
Utilizing the talent God has blessed the Miner family with,
the entire church works together to present dramas that
deliver the Good News to those who view them. Passion Play
occurs in the Spring. It is a portrayal of the life, death,
and resurrection of our Lord Jesus. Judgment House is
presented in the Fall. It is a dramatic presentation of real
life leading to choices of where man will spend
eternity.
Missions of Caring
Miner is a mission’s oriented and active church. We take
Acts 1:8 to heart going to our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria,
and all the world. Organized Mission Trips are scheduled for
adults and youth. Destinations range from inside the
Continental United States to locations abroad.
Life Groups For All Ages
Bible Study is essential! Every Sunday Morning Small Group
Bible Studies meet throughout the building. Our Life Groups
attempt to provide a small group to fit every need. From
singles to mixed adults, infants, children, and youth, there
is a small group to welcome everyone. On Wednesday evening
there are specialized study groups, AWANA for the children,
and Ignite (a contemporary Bible Study for youth and young
at heart). Studies range from the highly acclaimed Beth
Moore Studies to other topical and book studies. On other
nights during the week courses dealing with nutrition,
exercise, and other topics are available.
A Ministry Just For You
There are many ministries that an individual can be involved
in at Miner Baptist Church. We encourage all members to find
their spot and become part of a team!
We Invite You to Join Our Miner Baptist Family!
By Baptism – If you have a personal relationship with
our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we will receive you as a
candidate or baptism by immersion.
By Transfer of Membership – If you are a Christian
who was baptized by immersion after conversion we will
accept you as a member on transfer of your membership. If a
letter of certification from a former Church can be secured,
our Church office will gladly arrange for this transfer.
By Statement – If it is not possible to get a letter
of certification from a former church, you may join Miner
Baptist based solely on your statement that you are a
Christian who was baptized by immersion after conversion.
During the time of invitation, please come forward and share
your decision with one of our ministers or deacons available
for this purpose in the front of the auditorium. They will
assist you in firming up your decision, answer your
questions, and join you in prayer.
