Training opportunity for those who minister to children

On May 19, Saturday, at 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, First Baptist Church of Sikeston will be hosting a training for people who minister to children (that includes parents!). The training will be led by Child Evangelism Fellowship Missouri mid-east region director, Stephanie Wolcott. It will address how to share Christ with a child, what to do when they say yes to Christ, and how to help a child me...morize scripture. John Vernon is encouraging all children's workers (Sunday morning life group leaders, Vacation Bible School volunteers, TeamKID leaders, Upward Sports volunteers, Centershot Archery volunteers, and tutors) to attend. This training is required for those who would like to help with the after-school clubs we plan to start in the fall with the 2012-13 school year. Please contact our church office to indicate your intention to participate in this training so we can adequately prepare as we partner with First Baptist Church of Sikeston and Child Evangelism Fellowship.
